Alex Pham

Nick graduated cum laude from the Moore School of Business with a Master of International Business degree in 2011. He also holds a Bachelor in International Economics degree from Kiev National Economic University. Currently, he works as an Equity Research Analyst at Millennium Capital in Kiev, Ukraine, where he gained an experience in CEE telecom as well as Ukrainian agriculture and coal mining sectors’ research. Prior to that, Nick was a Market Analyst with U.S. Commercial Service in Columbia, SC, serving businesses from South Carolina wishing to expand overseas. While at U.S. Commercial Service, he conducted several market feasibility studies across Latin American and African countries for mining equipment manufacturer, researched export markets for heavy machinery seller, and identified top countries for chemical imaging technology developer’s international expansion strategy, among others.

Evan Grenda
Associate, Consumer Staples Sector at Americas Group
Evan Grenda is a Junior in the Moore School of Business studying Finance and Economics. After successfully winning the stock market club at Nichols High School, he applied for internships. He secured an Intern position at Reliance Financial Group, which led to a position in their Junior Research Analyst program during his Junior and Senior years. The experience gained included financial, technical and fundamental analysis, which has resulted in more effective personal portfolio management. Shortly after arriving at USC, he became aware of the Carolina Investment Association and immediately got involved. Afterwards, Evan was promoted to Associate for the Consumer Staples sector within Americas Group, a position he still holds. Through experience at RFA and the Carolina Fund, Evan currently runs his own portfolio, trading options and stocks daily. Also, Evan has recently joined the EMEA Group at Carolina Fund.

Felician is a Junior in the Moore School of Business at USC, majoring in Finance and Accounting with a minor in Statistics. Currently, he serves as an Associate of the Healthcare sector at Americas Group and Analyst at EMEA Group in the Carolina Fund. In previous semesters he was an Analyst on the Financials sector. Felician works in the Office of Trademarks and Licensing at USC where he handles revenue contracts and data tracking. Prior to that, he was an Intern at Merrill Lynch in Columbia for Thomas Caskey Group and Associates and also did research in the USC Department of Physics for Dr. Gothe and Jefferson Lab in Virginia. Felician is on the executive board of Delta Sigma Pi, professional business fraternity, where he currently serves as Chancellor. His interests outside of finance include politics, philosophy and literature.

David Filipczak

David Filipczak is a Senior International Business, Finance and Management triple major studying in the International Business and Chinese Enterprise (IBCE) program. Currently, David is living in Hong Kong where he is the Associate of Carolina Fund's Asia Pacific investment wing. David has previously held the Associate position in both the Healthcare and Financial sectors and worked as a Commercial Banking Analyst at Wells Fargo in Washington, D.C.

Alex is currently a senior at the Darla Moore School of Business studying International Business, Finance, and Spanish. This past summer he interned with Bank of America as a summer analyst, conducting industry research and financial analysis to support debt underwriting for healthcare and private equity clients. Prior to working with Bank of America, Alex worked with Merrill Lynch as a Wealth Management Intern. Before becoming Vice President, Alex was a member of the fund's Energy and Healthcare groups. He is originally from Fairfax, VA and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Alexandria.
